Onboarded and ready to go?
Once you've talked to a sales representative, signed a contract, and have been onboarded, you'll be invited to set up an account with ESHYFT. If you have any trouble accessing your account, please contact [email protected].
Install the app to get started
To download the ESHYFT for Facility Managers app. You can do so by following the links here:
Please note: ESHYFT has a web portal in addition to the ESHYFT for Facility Managers app.
How to post shifts
Posting shifts through the Facility Managers app:
To post shifts, go to the 'SHIFTS' tab and select 'Create new shifts.'
When creating a shift, you are able to determine the position, hourly rate, shift time, dates, quantity, and whether it's an InstaSHYFT.
Please note: There are two types of shifts you can create:
Regular shifts - require a facility manager to confirm a nurse for the shift.
InstaSHYFTs - booked instantly by a nurse, no confirmation from a facility manager is required. InstaSHYFTs does require enabling for each facility.
Once you've added all the details to your shifts, you can add them to the queue and click 'PUBLISH.'

Posting shifts through the Facility Managers web:
Log in to your account ESHYFT for Facility Managers web account.
Find the 'Create new shifts' button on the top right of your screen

How to confirm shifts
Option 1: Regular Shifts
When a nurse or aide applies to a regular shift, you will receive a notification.
To confirm a shift, go to the 'SHIFTS' tab and click on the shift you want to review applicants for.
Look at nurse and aide profiles, and determine who you want to work with at your facility. Select either 'Decline nurse' or 'Confirm.'
As soon as you confirm a nurse for a Regular shift, they will receive a notification notifying them that they have been approved to work at your facility.
Please note: If a nurse calls out of their shift, you will be notified.
Option 2: InstaSHYFTs
InstaSHYFTs do not require approval from a facility manager - as soon as a nurse or aide applies to the shift they are booked instantly.
As soon as a nurse or aide is booked for your shift, you will receive a notification.
Please note: If a nurse calls out of their shift, you will be notified.
How to cancel shifts
Canceling a nurse in the ESHYFT for Facility Managers app:
Log in to the ESHYFT for Facility Manager app and navigate over to the 'SHIFTS' section.
Find the shift the nurse is confirmed for, and click it so that the shift details appear.
Cancel a confirmed nurse by selecting 'CANCEL NURSE.' Please note: If a nurse is canceled within 2 hours of the shift start time, the facility will be charged for 2 hours of the nurse’s time at the confirmed rate.
The confirmed nurse has now been canceled.
Canceling a nurse in the ESHYFT Facility Manager Web:
Log in to the ESHYFT Facility Manager Web and navigate over to the 'SHIFTS' section.
Find the shift the nurse is confirmed for, and click it so that the shift details appear.
Cancel a confirmed nurse by selecting 'CANCEL.' Please note: If a nurse is canceled within 2 hours of the shift start time, the facility will be charged for 2 hours of the nurse’s time at the confirmed rate.
The confirmed nurse has now been canceled.
How to access credentials
Want to review a nurse or aide applicant's credentials before you approve them to work at your facility? Follow these instructions:
In the shift you are reviewing, click on the nurse or aide profile that you're interested in learning more about.
Under the attachments section, please select 'Send to email.'
You will now receive an email containing that nurse or aide's credentials.
How to use chat
Are you interested in verifying some information with a nurse or aide directly? Use our in-app chat feature:
In the shift you are reviewing, click the nurse or aide profile you're interested in chatting with.
Click the talk bubble icon to start chatting.
After hitting send, your chat log will be stored under the 'CHATS' tab.
You are also able to search in the 'CHATS' tab for previous conversations.
Please note: 'Chat with nurse' will be an option after you have confirmed a nurse.
